Omaha Meetup: DevOps Intro, Use Cases and Microservices

TAGS:

DevOps is the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increase an organization’s ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity: evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes. This speed enables organizations to better serve their customers and compete more effectively in the market.

Cloudnexa Engineering will also be presenting how to host a massively scalable website for less in a DevOps model using serverless technology.

Microservices are an architectural and organizational approach to software development to speed up deployment cycles, foster innovation and ownership, and improve maintainability and scalability of software applications - as well as scaling organizations delivering software and services. Using a microservices approach, software is composed of small independent services that communicate over well-defined APIs. These services are owned by small self-contained teams.

Our presenter is Seamus Owens from Cloudnexa. The Cloudnexa team will be flying in from Philadelphia and are an AWS Premier Consulting Partner with Managed Service and Health Care Competencies.

Travis Delamore, the AWS Account Manager, will also be flying in from San Francisco to meet everyone. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to bring your questions and discussion for CloudNexa and AWS.
